Dog Sitter And Pet Sitting
Dog Sitting……. what a strange phrase to use! Why do people get a Dog or Pet Sitter here in Tenerife? Some people are too busy with work, going on vacation, ill or generally unable to take care of their dog or pet for a short period of time and need someone trustworthy and knowledgable.
I have to tell you how much fun I have though. One of the many dogs in my care at the moment is a super loving Female German Shepherd while her owner is very busy with work and I go over to see her daily to walk her and spend some one on one quality time which includes a long walk, playtime, relaxation massage (yes dogs do love massage too) along with a quick health check, grooming and did I mention yet more playtime! When she hears my footsteps arrive on the terrace its like she wakes up from her sleep with gusto and ready to play and goes from 0-60 she cant help herself but spin round in a circle. Cleo has become a very special dog to me and like one of my own. Its great when I walk through the door to be welcomed by her and she always has plenty of kisses and love to give me back.
Ah, one of the nicer things about working with animals! And oh I forgot to mention picking up all the poop! If you need a Pet Sitter or a Dog Walker make sure you always check them out thoroughly, too many times its someone who thinks its easy just to go into someones house and tend to the pet and have no idea what else is involved and you are giving a complete stranger a key to your house!
